Okay, i got your attention! You like cake, and or cake decoration, good! Welcome to my crazy world of cakes, cake decorating and everything cake related.
Let me start with saying that English is not my mother language, so here and there you will see a grammar and/or spelling mistake...whoops!
How did i start my crazy obsession for cakes and cake decorating...well with a bit of an "i can do that to" attitude. Yeah, well let me tell you, right here, it does not work like that! You actually have to learn things, things like what is my style, what is the difference between fondant, marzipan and buttercream, and really important how do i decorate a cake.
I just started my cake adventures before it became "cool, now about 3 1/2 years ago.
I saw a decorated cake on the internet and was thinking i could do that, it looked so simple. I bought cake (not bisquit, did not know the difference back then, and i will explain the difference between cake and bisquit later on). I bought an round baking pan, some marzipan and started, like that!
My first, very first cake looked like an flying UFO with chicken and flowers on it, but what was i proud of my first, self decorated cake.
I showed to everyone who was interested and everyone who was not. Right there and then i knew that i found something that i really liked. Back then i did not know what kind of an inpact these cake would have on my life, on me.
There is this saying that some people are lucky enough to find their true purpose in life, i am one of those lucky people. Believe me when i say that i was made fun of, laughed at, told that there was no future in this stupid cake thingy, but i did not care and still do not care. I started with a goal, which i still live by! I wanted to be good, so good that the big names in Cake land know my name. I knew from the beginning that, that would require dedication and work, lots of work, but most of all, love for what you are doing.
Now more then 3 years along, i can say that i still stand strong in my believe in my cakes. I have alot AMAZING contacts in cake land and i spend every moment i can, to cakes and cake decorating. Either making cakes, watching youtbe video, looking at other people cakes or thinking out new technics, and i love it.
I hope that i can show you how much fun cake decorating is, at every level. No mather if you want to be a "cake star" or you want to bake for your kids, let me inspire you to do what you love doing.
