The moment you find that thing that brings relief to your stresslevel, that thing that brings you to another level while being busy doing that thing, you know you found what you were looking for. I found just that in cake decorating.
The moment i start working on a project, i am in, what i like to call, the zone. I have some music playing in the background, and i may or may not sing along (i only do that when i am alone, i was'nt blessed with a good singing voice hahah). Music brings me ideas but it can also bring me in a certain zone and that combined with the cake decorating is the ultimate combination.
I have a lot of stress in my non caking life ( i will not bore you to death with my problems), i have an illness that brings me some stress, but when i busy with cakes i can forget about that. It does not matter if i am really working on a cake, or looking for inspiration online, i am doing what i love. What is said before, i believe that i am one of the lucky few who learned what her calling is in this life. That sounds so dramatic, but for me this what cakes mean to me. Cakeart is my life, i breath, sleep, dream, talk cake art all the time.
