We all have those projects that make you go, Oh hell no, this is not going to work. Well i had those in the form of Harry Potter. I try to see those kind of projects as challenges, what can i do with nothing, no ideas, no inspiration...Yeah sorry people, i am not a Harry Potter person. I don't watch the movies, i don't know the characters, i just don't care. My 7 year niece had to tell me who the characters are the otherday haha. But that is not the point of this story ;). What do you do when you get an order, project or what ever, for a cake with a theme you have nothing in common with...stalking, good old stalking. Yeah i said it...okay what did i do, i looked around on the internet, looked at "fan pages" and yes, i asked wikipedia for help. I looked at other Harry Potter themed cakes, what did other artists do? Ofcourse not to steal their ideas, but to find some ideas how to start mine project. And as final touch i asked my 7 year old niece for help, and that chick just amazed me. I started talking to me, and said some where along the line, 10 (my nickname) do you still follow me? uhhmm no..(i got they eyerolling treatment) but in the end i got it (the very very basic of the harry potter world and rules).
I started with making the Harry Potter Magic Wand.
The wand (the one next to the box) is all edible and made from Fondant.
