The wonders of technology.

More the wonders of the internet and photshop like programs. I hate it when people try to adjust their (cake) photos to the point they are missing the goal if. It is all sunshine and cupcakes to let all your work look like magazine like photo's, but that is not the reality. Most cakes, have little bumps and the colour ot the cake is most of the different in real life than on a photo.

I never use a filter on my cake photos, and do not hide little things that makes a cake real. Of course i try ot make the best photo, but not by adding things that do not belong in/ on your photo. There is so much you can hide by taking a good photo, but without the photoshop thing.

okay this was my rant, now how technogly can help you. I say a big thank you to the developers of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, blogsites and Pinterest. They are very important to a artist, in my opinion. You can reach a way bigger audience then without these site, you can learn from the pro's with out spending a lot of money and you hear (honest) opnions from your viewers/ followers/ fans. I use the social media to meet other cake artists, so to build a network. I have learned so much from the internet, things that i could not have learned from workshops (by the way absolutely no negative word for workshops, the are very important for the development of a cake artist).

I am going to sound as an major addict to social media, but i use it every day, multiple hours a day. Use it for your own good....

(these are not my cake pops so all credit goes to the unkown maker)
