A little bit of colour can make the difference

Often when i start a project, somewhere half way i feel that this is going no were. I am my own worst critic, seriously. I had projects that just threw in the bin because there was something i hated about it, but when i later showed photos to others, they told me that i was being insane.

So now i have this golden rule, the project stays till i added colour to it. I almost never pre-colour my fondant, so i use the plain white fondant to create something. After i am done i use my airbrush to add shades and colour to project. You can imagine that starting out with a all white base can make huge difference. Colour/ airbrushing can bring your project to life in away you can't think of when you begin. to make my point i will show you a before and a after photo of my latest project : harry potters sorting hat.
