The colour red, is a difficult colour to achieve with fondant. EIther you have to use a lot of food coloring or you have to buy you fondant or marzipan pre colored. I hate both, because either my fondant gets really dry because of all the colour you have to use, or (my personal experience) the pre colored fondant dries out really fast again because of the food colouring. I found out that airbrushing my work, works for me a whole lot better in general, esp, with difficult colours like red and black. Not so long ago i ordered the strawberry red from @bouwhuis (www.bouwhuis.nl) and this colour has me falling in love with. The colour proves to be so rich, almost blood red. This is awesome shade of red, for the roses i often make. It makes the flower leaves really popping of the cakes. Besides this, the colour dries pretty fast, so you can keep on working. The bottle is pretty big, so you get a lot of airbrush colour for your money. All and all i would give this airbrush colour 10 out of 10!
